WASHINGTON DeSi: South Asians in the Nation’s Capital

The South Asian Community Empowerment Project (SACE) released a report that aims to:

  • enhance collective understanding about the community of South Asians who live or work in Washington, D.C. with an emphasis on emerging trends;
  • set forth recommendations to policymakers, service providers and other stakeholders about how to effectively reach South Asians; and
  • provide appropriate legal services and education for the community, based on the information collected about pressing needs and gaps.

The report serves as a resource for MASALA Giving Circle members and the community in understanding the concerns and needs of the D.C. metro South Asian community.
